Entertainment is a subjective matter in Langkawi. If like most people your idea of entertainment is to swing the night away in a nightclub or music room till the wee hours, then Langkawi is not the right place for you. But then you could always make a lifestyle change by immersing yourself in what makes the Langkawi islands a world-class tropical holiday destination in the first place. Thats just a suggestion. Actually, there are some places where you can still boogie away the night.

Most of the popular nightspots are located in the bigger resorts such as the Sheraton, Aseania, Pelangi, or City Bay View. Besides places where you can dance, there are lots of bars and pubs in places such as Pantai Chenang and Pantai Tengah. These are great places to hang out alone for relaxation or with friends. Langkawi is just the place to indulge in such pleasures as you will find that the tab at the end of the night is so patron-friendly due to the island's duty-free status.
